Here's what the humans have to say about me:
This goofy love bug is Steve!
He is an approximately 4-year old American Bulldog/Pit Bull mix (guessing) who just loves to love! He weighs around 65 lbs.
If you are looking for someone to always be excited to see you, Steve is your guy! He wants to be by your side at all times for pets and love. Steve came to be with us after he was thrown out of a window on the highway. Despite this, he absolutely adores car rides!
His favorite games are Frisbee, fetch and most of all tug of war! Playtime is a must so he can get that energy out for proper snuggles. He is very treat motivated and learns fairly quickly. He is crate and house trained and does best on a schedule. He loves chew toys and big bones!
He has been doing great with other dogs he has met on outings with his trainer.
He is a bit of a clumsy guy at times so a home without small children that can be knocked over would be best. He does his very best to always be gentle but those darn paws try to get in his way!
He has his quirks, but he is beyond loyal and loving! A little patience and understanding in the beginning, and you have the best companion for life with all the love and trust he can possibly give! He really is a joy and the love in his eyes when he looks at you will melt your heart!
Steve has been in training for the last ten months and is making wonderful progress! The rescue will continue to pay for some training once adopted to make sure the transition is smooth. There is nothing medically wrong with his eyes.
Once he has had proper exercise, Steve will sleep in his crate. He was house-trained at one time, but may need a refresher course in a new environment. He needs a Gentle Leader type harness to walk him, as he is very strong.
Steve is neutered, microchipped, and current on his vaccines. His adoption fee is $225.
He is currently in boarding and would love to have a foster home! He qualifies as a foster-to-adopt or just a foster.
If you would like to adopt Steve and make him a part of your family, please apply at FYDRadopt.com.
If you would like to foster Steve, go to www.foreveryoursokc.org/foster-application.

More about this rescue
Forever Yours Dog Rescue was founded on November 8th, 2011, with the mission of helping smaller animal shelters located throughout Oklahoma.
We are an Oklahoma City based all-breed 501(c) dog rescue, caring for the unwanted, abandoned, and abused dogs of Oklahoma. We rescue from local shelters and shelters throughout Oklahoma. We do take owner surrender's under certain situations.
We advocate spay/neuter and offer assistance in finding a low-cost option for those that qualify.
We promote adoption as an alternative to buying your pet.
We provide pet ownership education through materials, counceling, and on-site workshops, at no cost to the public, with an emphasis on preventative care.
We are all volunteer based, with no paid employees.
