My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Dive under the sea with Urchin!

Urchin may appear to have a tough exterior when he feels insecure, but we promise he`s just bluffing! He`s looking for a special forever home where he can show people the big softie we`ve learned he truly is.

ABOUT URCHIN

- Urchin is a handsome tabby with stunning green eyes (and no spikes!).
- Despite being through a lot of recent changes, this ultra-sweet boy is making fantastic progress in foster care, although loud noises or sudden movements will send him into hiding.
- Urchin is a sensitive boy and isn`t a fan of change, but he adapts well given an appropriate introduction to a new environment.
- He can be wary of strangers and will find a sheltered spot to observe them from, but he can be won over with a slow, patient approach and lots of treats!
- Once comfortable, he becomes incredibly affectionate with his trusted humans. Urchin will rub his head up against everything and come ask for lots of pets—his favourite spots are between his shoulder blades and on his belly. (He is seriously ALL about the belly rubs!)
- He also enjoys receiving scritches with a back-scratcher or brush, so it`s easy to help him stay groomed and looking his best.
- Urchin likes to lounge during the day, but regularly gets the zoomies at night, sprinting around and playing with his toys! Splashing in his water fountain has also become a preferred (and adorable) activity.
- Urchin is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and is up to date on core vaccinations.

URCHIN`S IDEAL HOME

- Urchin needs a patient, loving, and gentle owner who will support him as he continues to adapt to his new life on his own timeline.
- He would prefer a home without small children and must be the only cat in the home.
- Potential adopters should be prepared to commit the time, effort, and patience required to help Urchin settle into his new environment. If needed, EHS will offer post-adoption support to assist Urchin with a successful transition to his forever home.
