My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Wanted - One good hearted woman, to forgive imperfections in the dog that she loves...

Hiya,

My name is Ridge, and I'm quite the ladies man. I must have been severely mistreated by a man, because I don't take too kindly to them. It takes a lot for me to warm up to a dude, but after many inspections, it could happen.

Oh yeah, I've been thrown in jail a few times, as I like to jump to fences and do the man thing...you know roam. These peeps here at Lucies have found that out the hard way. I'd jump that fence, they'd start screaming and I'm looking back ang giggling to myself. Of course, I didn't know the dangers that could befall me - I just wanna have fun! With that being said, I definitely need to be an inside dog. Lounging around on the couch and watching a little TV suits me just fine. I'm lazy, what can I say??? I can tell you however, that if you're the woman for me, no harm will ever befall you. I will have my eye on you every second. I will be 100% totally and hopelessly devoted to you.

I am definitely not a cat person...they are evil creatures to me!!

Like I said, I have imperfections. Just give me a chance to prove my love and loyalty to you. We can go on car rides together, and I will be right by your side. It will be so worth it!!

*** We strive to ensure our dogs are going to a safe, loving and caring home. Phone interviews are required for all adoptions****

Additional adoption info

Interested adopters contact our adoption volunteer either via email or phone. Our volunteer in turn talks to them more about the pet they are interested in. If the adopter seems like a good match, they are requested to complete an application. They come to the rescue location to meet the dog of interest. We also sometimes arrange a home visit to make sure the environment is suitable for the dog. If all is well, they will get a call from a volunteer letting them know they are approved for adoption. They will be provided copies of the vaccination and sterilization records. A delivery day will be arranged for the dog. Either the adopter may come and pick up the dog, or a volunteer can arrange to have the dog delivered. They sign our adoption contract and pay the adoption fee. We do periodically contact our adopters to check up on the dog to make sure everyone is happy and healthy and enjoying their new life!

More about this rescue

Local Unity for Canines In Emergency Situations. We are a dog rescue organization, not a shelter or a pound!

We are a group of neighbors who, as a community effort, are helping the many strays and dumped dogs in the area. We take them in, care for them, feed - vaccinate - worm - socialize, and try to find them forever homes. We do depend on donations to help out, and will accept food, medication, bedding, fostering, and direct donations to Veterinarians.
