Jeb was found starving behind a Kroger in NW Houston. He was very trusting, having no problem coming home with his finder. He had to be boarded for an extended time and much of his behavior stemmed from this. Once coming out of boarding, we worked with Jeb and his exuberance is very manageable because we found he is so intelligent and wants to please. We use a 'gentle' command and he rapidly came to understand what that conveyed.
Jeb is a happy but goofy dog. We never know where we will find him or in what position. He is not one bit aggressive with other dogs. His only limitation here is his exuberant behavior which can be misread by other dogs. But his intent is in the right place because he wants to play more than anything and takes corrections well. Jeb kennels with a treat, loves his walks and enjoys learning new things. In the right hands he would thrive learning obedience and tricks. He is not prey driven for squirrels or cats.

Request an application form, complete it in its entirety and return. The rescue will review it, check references and do a home check.

Meet the Pet
If approved for adoption, a date and time will be set up to introduce the dog you have contacted us about.

Approve Application
Once your application is approved and you have met and decided to adopt the dog, we require a 2 week trial adoption first.
4.
Sign Adoption Contract
If the trial adoption is sucessful, the final step is executing the adoption contract and payment of the adoption fee to the rescue.
5.
Take the Pet Home
The pet is already home at this point and we hope in a long and loving relationship with your family.

I am not into rescue to have the largest turnaround of dogs. I am into rescue to take a battered and dejected dog off the streets. To get it healthy and confident in order to make a loving and permanent placement. A human-dog love connection!

I am an animal lover but specifically a dog lover. I have picked up stray dogs for many years so forming a rescue was inevitable. No One's Dog Rescue is devoted to saving street dogs, one dog at a time. This includes good nutrition for vital health and training for an amendable dog. Part of my mission is to connect the right dog with the right person so there is much discussion with adopter on specific wants vs needs. I also advocate and support raw feeding and natural rearing protocols. As a nutritionist myself I know first hand the power of good food irregardless of species. I rescue because the need is so great and hope to set an example of compassion and responsibility by my actions.
