Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Bernie is a smart, trainable, and loyal, 1 year old shepherd mix . He would like someone who can give him lots of time and attention. He bonds with one person and loves nothing more than staying by his person's side. He has all his basic manners down, including many tricks, and even waits for his release word to exit a doorway or his crate. He is completely crate trained. He does not have accidents, never counterskims, and is not at all destructive. He is being re-homed because kids make him nervous and he reacts by growling or herding them (or both!). He is wary of strangers and is reactive to bikes/scooters. Since he is a herder, he tends to chase cats (he doesn't intend to hurt them - he's only curious). He exhibits resource guarding. Bernie would love a home with a single person or a couple with no kids who will keep him active. We are requiring experience with reactive dogs and a willingness to work with him to be the best he can be. He will reward you with devotion and love.
