My story

Hobart and Jameson were rescued by Pasado’s Safe Haven with the rest of our Alphabet Sheep. They arrived emaciated and full of internal parasites due to their months of cruelty neglect. At Pasado’s Safe Haven, they have had the chance to live their lives free from harm and full of love.

The impressive horns of these two is likely the first thing you’ll notice about this striking duo! Hobart and Jameson are very playful with each other and with the other sheep they are with. Since both have large horns, their play style between the two is intense and very fun to watch! It’s also impressive to see them dial back the play level when they are playing with the others. The pair was moved to a yard with other male sheep with horns because they had some trouble being nice to the other boys of the group. They have now been castrated, which could lessen this issue.

While Hobart and Jameson are shy with humans, they are great at picking up on routines and understanding what you are asking of them. Around dinner time, Caregivers can ask the boys to go to bed and they will run to their stall and wait inside for dinner. They would do well in a home with other playful animals and patient, understanding humans who will take the time to figure out what makes them comfortable!

More about this rescue

Pasado’s Safe Haven was founded in 1997 in honor of “Pasado“, a beloved donkey who was tortured to death by three teenage boys. Located on 85 acres in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, we are a non-profit on a mission to end animal cruelty.

In addition to investigating animal cruelty crimes and providing sanctuary and rehabilitation to animals who have suffered from abuse and neglect, we also advocate for better laws to protect animals and work to educate the public about how they can help end animal suffering. Through our uniquely comprehensive programs, we are able to help thousands of animals every year and spread a message of compassion to countless people.
