My story

Theodore and Finn were rescued by Pasado’s Safe Haven with the rest of our Alphabet Sheep. They arrived emaciated and full of internal parasites due to their months of cruelty neglect. At Pasado’s Safe Haven, they have had the chance to live their lives free from harm and full of love.

Theodore quickly became a volunteer favorite because of his smaller size and need for attention. He will approach people and position himself for optimal petting. If you move away, he will follow you and reposition himself or just start crying like a baby! Although less outgoing, Finn is often right behind Theodore, although he would prefer to observe than be pet. Even though they are 1 ½ years old, Theodore and Finn are both convinced they are still babies. They are the youngest of the group and still have baby voices that will make you do a double take looking for a lamb nearby, but it’s just these two letting you know they think you’re late for dinner.

Both boys currently live with other horned males but also did well when living with non-horned males. Their ideal home would have both sheep and humans for them to snuggle with. Theodore is just as much of a fan of his sheep friends as he is his human ones. When everyone lays down for a nap in the afternoon sun, Theodore waits until the last second to maneuver himself right into the middle of a pile, even if it means using his friends as a pillow!

Finn a scur (horn remnant) that grows wonky. We have trimmed it to avoid it growing into his head but this may need to be done again in the future. It is very quick and easy for your veterinarian to do.

More about this rescue

Pasado’s Safe Haven was founded in 1997 in honor of “Pasado“, a beloved donkey who was tortured to death by three teenage boys. Located on 85 acres in the foothills of the Cascade Mountains, we are a non-profit on a mission to end animal cruelty.

In addition to investigating animal cruelty crimes and providing sanctuary and rehabilitation to animals who have suffered from abuse and neglect, we also advocate for better laws to protect animals and work to educate the public about how they can help end animal suffering. Through our uniquely comprehensive programs, we are able to help thousands of animals every year and spread a message of compassion to countless people.
