Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sugar was rescued with her litter. When they arrived with Illinois Animal Rescue, everyone was very sick and we weren't sure they were going to make it. This brave momma was so sick she could barely lift her head, but she made sure her kittens were well fed. Worst of all, she wasn't much older than her babies--likely still a kitten herself.
Thankfully Sugar and her litter pulled through. Momma has done a good job raising her kittens, and is now looking for a home of her own.
Sugar loves ribbons, balls and catnip toys. She loves to give nose rubs and cuddle up against her foster mothers feet. She also loves to snuggle up and take a nap with you.
When we first got Sugar, she had a very hard time adjusting to other cats and dogs. With a lot of time and patience, Sugar has greatly improved. She now does well with the cats in her foster home--even grooming one of her favorites. With a slow introduction and a patient owner, Sugar should do fine with other cats.
Sugar currently lives with a dog and she seems to tolerate him well. At first, she didn't know what to make of the big dog...now, she sleeps at night curled up against him.
