My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

UPDATE:

How has it been a little over a year since sweet, stunning TIARA came into our care? She’s now around 2.5 years old and ready for her happily ever after. This lovely lady was abandoned when her family moved and lived in the green house on the property until the new owners were able to get her into our care. Tiara was timid and shy when she first arrived but has always been 100% gentle. She initially went out on trial twice, both homes were not the right match for our special girl. One had a cat already that did not want to share his home with her and the other was just not ready for life with a cat after all. So Tiara came back to the shelter. She forged bonds with the other cats and caretakers and eventually moved, with her best friend Kiwi, to Total Pet in hopes of finding a forever family. Tiara was there for quite some time and moved into a foster home in December 2021 when the store prepared for the hustle and bustle of the Christmas season. Tiara has now been living in her foster home for 4 months and she has really settled and blossomed into the cat we always knew she would be. Tiara is still a fairly quite girl that likes calm, mature company. She is a lounger that enjoys watching the world through the window, cuddling on the couch or bed and supervising puzzle making. Tiara is phenomenal with all other animals and would love a home with another friendly cat that she can snuggle with. She is learning that visitors are just as kind as her foster mom and always down for a gentle pet when She comes to say hi. Basically Tiara is now ready. She’s ready to trust new people, show her true and brilliant colours and to find her forever home. She’s had a long process to get to this point of being ready but now all she is waiting for is… You? Tiara wants a calm family aged 12+ with another cat where she can be indoor only with big windows or possibly indoor/outdoor in a very safe neighbourhood. Could you be the home she’s waited over a year to find? Apply today at www.NWAS.ca for a chance to find out. #NWASTIARA
