Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Julia came to us from animal control with her six one-day-old puppies. She was in pretty rough shape, very thin and with lots of fur missing and rough ragged skin. All of that has cleared up, she is a healthy weight now and she looks beautiful.
She was such a great mama and took amazing care of her little ones. She was leery of us the first day (understandably since she was trying to protect her babies) but quickly became one of the sweetest dogs we've rescued. We did not know how she would react when adopters started coming to meet her babies, but she has treated everyone she met with affection.
She appears most like a Staffordshire Terrier mix to us, but we really do not know that for sure. She weighs about 62 lbs and we are guessing she is two-three years old.
Julia loves to romp, play tug-of-war, and chase a ball endlessly. She also loves to snuggle and sit right with you. She has been good and then not so good with other dogs in her foster home, so we think she may prefer to be an only dog with a person to dote on her. A person who has lots of friends but no other dogs may be just the ticket for her since she seems to love all the people that she meets.
There may be another dog out there Julia would like to live with -- we just can't know that for sure, so careful introduction would be necessary to find out. She does not do well with cats or children. At this point we believe her ideal life will be as a companion to someone who wants a dog to love on and play with.
If you are interested in meeting Julia, please email us at jojosdogrescue @gmail.com and we will send you an application, or download one from our website www.jojosdoghouse.com. Adoption fee is $125 and includes spay, up-to-date vaccinations, microchip, and parasite treatment and prevention. Thanks for choosing adoption!
