Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Amica
Howl-o! My name is Amica, which is Italian for friend. When I was picked up, “You’ve Got A Friend in Me” was playing on the radio, so my foster parents wanted to give me a name inspired by that song. My foster family tells me I look like a baby deer because of my spots, long-legs, and big doe-eyes! I have super soft fur and the cutest ears you’ve ever seen. I have very expressive eyes and ears, so you always know how I’m feeling.
I was born in mid-August and have been with my foster family for a little over a month. I’m doing very well with them and they say that I’m one of the sweetest fosters they’ve ever had! I would describe my personality as loving, curious, and happy-go-lucky. I’m an outdoorsy girl, so I’m really hoping to find a family that’s active and has a nice fenced-in backyard so I can lay out in the yard and play with sticks and chase leaves. I love other dogs and every person I meet. I’m interested in cats and love to watch them in my foster home, but I haven’t had the opportunity to play with them, because they usually run away once they see me coming with all my puppy energy. I’m definitely a people-person puppy and love being near my foster parents, especially to cuddle after a good wrestling session with my foster siblings.
I’m super smart and listen very well. I’m still working on potty-training, but my foster mom says I’m an A student and well on my way to mastery. I’ll need more practice, praise, and puppy pads, which I’ll happily use, but I’ve got this potty-training thing in the bag, as they say! I’m so smart that I’ve already learned to sit and lay down. I’m currently working on shake. I’m very energetic and playful and love playing fetch with a tennis ball in the house, so an active family is preferred.
I’m looking for a family that is active, outdoorsy, and has plenty of time to spoil me rotten with lots of toys, long walks, and cuddle time. If you have a fenced-in yard, even better! If you’re interested in becoming my new fur-ever family and you pinky promise to spoil me rotten, then please fill out an adoption application today! You’ve got a friend in me!
