Tootsie’s story… Help up us find her happy tomorrow!

A tourist saw someone in a car throw her like trash onto the highway, the tourist searched and searched and found her near a canal where she was left for dead. When he did look at her little body and face, he saw that Tootsie’s eye was almost completely out of its socket from the pressure of being thrown from the vehicle. He gently picked her up and brought her to our sister rescue SOS el Arca in Playa del Carmen where surgery was immediately done to remove her eye, she was then fully vetted and cared for so she would be ready to find her forever home here in Canada.

She is a sweet, funny girl who likes to run and have fun. She is energetic and loves to play. She is a little shy but would be wonderful for an active family who love to walk and go on adventures. . She is very smart and food motivated, a perfect combination for training. She is great with dogs, and dog savvy children but cats would be at the discretion of the owner. She is a puppy and they love everything!

Tootsie would love a fenced in backyard where she would love to have fun just basking in the sun or playing in something she has never seen before SNOW!!!!

Her leash skills are a work in progress which is why it is mandatory that puppy training classes are taken upon adoption. She does not mess in the shelter so we believe she is house trained and she is also crate trained.

Tootsie is a good girl who is sweet, playful and loving, she loves people and loves to cuddle and be by your side when she has expended his energy. Don’t let her one eye let you believe for one second that she has any problems at all. She is perfectly imperfect in every way!

If you feel you would be the right fit for Tootsie, please fill out an adoption application at www.allpawsmatter.ca\

All APM dogs are UTD on vaccinations, microchipped, spayed or neutered, dewormed, and Heartworm tested.

BREED DISCLAIMER: We are never sure of the breed of our dogs since they arrive off the streets or shelters. It is a guess only!
