Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Say hiiiiiii to the Miss Dottie Drew!
Quick Facts:
Breed: Terrier X
Age: Will turn the big 2 on 8/20/23.
Size: 15#.
Dottie Drew has the unique trait of us knowing her origin story, as she was born into this rescue when her pregnant momma was saved.
Dottie Drew will need some playtime + daily exercise, but is happy to hang out on the couch with you after. She LOVES to play fetch & will even bring the ball back EVERY time - what more could you ask for? Treats are her second favorite thing on the planet. She does has a jumping habit that her foster mom is continuously working on, but this training will likely need to be continued in her forever family.
In true small dog fashion, Dottie Drew thinks she is "El jefe". She gets along well with her two larger dog siblings, but tries to boss around the family Chihuahua. She would do perfectly fine as an only dog, but if in a dog household, a larger dog would be best. She will need proper introductions regardless of the size. She does not enjoy dog park environments.
She doesn't enjoy the resident cats getting near her food or crate, but has never challenged them, outside of a bark, because of it.
Dottie Drew does well with animal savvy children - she currently lives with an 8 year old with no issues, but hasn't always loved the hands-on nature of children, and would need her space respected.
She walks well on a leash but does pull a little when she gets excited. She is house and crate-trained - even kennels on command. She can be a barky girl, alerting you to any new humans in the house, including you. But the ultimately loves her humans & likes to be carried around like a baby, getting alllllll the cuddles.
Due to her size, she will 100% need to be supervised while outside, on the chance she finds a hole in your fence or another predator decides she'd make a good snack.
