Rex was found lying by the side of the road. A police officer stopped to pick up his body as he had been hit by a car. She found that he was still alive and rushed him to the emergency vet clinic. Rex is extremely lucky and should make a full recovery. His injuries are consistent with being thrown from a car and then being hit by a car and left to die. He lost the vision in one of his eyes due to the accident. When x-rays were taken to see if he had any broken bones he was found to have been shot with several pellets so he was abused prior to his car encounter. Despite everything he is a sweet dog and loves other dogs. Rex is about 3 years old. He is very sweet. We will get some pictures of him once he gets his E-collar off and we can get him looking handsome. Rex is up to date on vaccinations and is heartworm negative. In examining Rex after his car accident we found that Rex has a luxating patella in each leg that may require surgery in the future. He also has a hip that may require surgery someday.
