My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Riley is an easy going, low energy mini aussie , he is 10 yrs old, 27lbs. and has a heart murmur, and some enlargement of the heart. He is on medication and doing well. Vet did not say he has any exercise restrictions. He does have some arthritis in his front paw, so he has a limp. His favorite toy is a ball that he’s had since coming to rescue. Riley has good house manners, can be left without being kenneled, but will tolerate being in one if he is given a busy bone, or Kong. He currently sleeps on floor in bedroom.

Riley can be selective when meeting strangers. He has been fine with both men and women he has met here. Not sure what triggers this. He has reactivity on walks also. At another foster he did pack walks and was fine. He’s good with other dogs, that are not looking for a playmate. He enjoys laying outside , he will bark at people but will stop when told its OK. A yard without a lot of foot traffic going by would be good. Has some anxiety in the car, and visiting the vet. Living in the metro area would be a plus, and willing to go to our vet in Elk River.
All of our dogs live in foster homes with volunteers. We need an approved application on file to set up a meeting with a dog you might be interested in. You can find our application at www.aussierescuemn.com All dogs have an adoption fee of $300 plus MN sales tax. We pride ourselves on matches that are awesome for both the dog and your family. Aussie Rescue of MN is here for support, advice and as a safety net for our dogs for the rest of their lives
