Meet Sakari - a 4.5 yr old girl waiting to be your loving companion
Sakari was adopted from our shelter as a puppy. Her family returned her when she didn’t get along with the new puppy they got a couple months ago. She still seems bewildered at being in a noisy, busy shelter.
Sakari is a medium sized retriever mix who loves being around people. She is gentle, loving and affectionate and will even stop on a walk to ask for a hug. During our photo shoots with her, she looks to the people around her with her sweet imploring eyes, giving her paw, asking for pets and giving kisses.
Sakari is good on leash and has medium energy. She is house trained and crate trained, and she knows sit and paw.
Sakari will bark at other dogs going by while in her crate or on walks, but if you call her name and say “sit”, she will stop, sit, and look to you quietly for what to do.
Sakari is looking for a home where she can be the only pet. She’s a good girl and will make an amazing companion, she just needs someone to give her a chance.
