Meet Yonkers!

Yonkers was with her family since she was a puppy, but was recently brought to the shelter when her family could no longer care for her.

The thing is, Yonkers was in the backyard by herself and then the garage by herself. She was separated from the family/pack with nobody to show her love and attention.

Every sweet pup needs a nice calm leader to show them what is expected. They need walks and playtime and time to use their minds. Learning tricks is great because they get to both use their minds and hang out with you. You are their pack, so they need to be where you are. Packs aren’t separated in the wild, they are stronger together.

We are helping this sweet girl find a great home, and we are looking for a family that will love and include her, this time forever.

Yonkers is a 6 year old spayed female Chihuahua/Doxie mix that weighs 8 pounds. She has beautiful markings and a great smile.

She likes everyone; other dogs, cats, and kids.

She loves to snuggle and give kisses.

Yonkers is house and crate trained, walks well on a leash, and rides in the car like a champ.

She is looking for a lap to snuggle in and watch TV and loves her toys and fluffy bed.
