This sweet, calm girl is a Jack Russell/terrier mix around 8 years old and 15 lbs who loves car rides. She is friendly with dogs, ignores cats, is not a barker, is on the shy, quiet side, and is house trained and crate trained. She walks well on a leash until she decides she wants to go a different direction so she will need additional training and guidance. Her mom worked at home and Maya was not left alone much, so she gets anxious when left alone. She naps on the dog bed near her foster’s work area during the day. Her foster mom puts her in her crate when she leaves the house. Maya loves sleeping under a pile of blankets either in her crate, couch or bed. She likes being near her person to cuddle or watch the activities around her. She gets along well with other dogs but doesn’t need the companionship of another dog to be happy. The preferred home for her would be one with a fenced-in yard, someone who is home most of the time since she has separation anxiety. If you live in the central Florida (Orlando) area and think you have the perfect forever home for Maya, we’d love to find out more about you. Please fill in our adoption application and we’ll see if you’re Maya’s perfect match.
