Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Meet Lonnie, a gentle, orange and white sweetheart with a heart as warm as the sunbeams he loves to nap in. This laid back boy enjoys the quiet company of calm cats or mellow dogs, making him a great companion in a peaceful home. Lonnie does have mild arthritis, but thanks to Abandoned Pet Rescue’s medical adoption program, his future care for his arthritis is supported if it ever needs attention. Despite his arthritis, Lonnie still has a playful side and enjoys batting around toys or chasing a string when the mood strikes. His favorite pastime? Lounging in the catio, soaking up the sun and he’d be just as happy sunbathing in your living room by a cozy window. With his easygoing nature, bursts of playfulness, and loving personality, Lonnie is ready to bring warmth, comfort, and joy to a home that appreciates life at a gentler pace. To meet Lonnie please fill out an adoption application at abandonedpetrescue.org!

More about this shelter
Abandoned Pet Rescue (APR) is one of the largest no-kill animal shelters in South Florida with the mission of rescuing and sheltering abandoned and abused cats and dogs with the goal of finding them new homes. APR's adoption center has about 150 cats and 30 dogs, all of which receive nutritious meals, veterinary care, enrichment and love.
APR, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization, was founded in 1996 by a group of volunteers who were trapping, spaying and neutering feral cats and quickly realized the greater need to help abandoned pets and advocate for a no-kill community. APR is funded solely by generous donors and grants.
