Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Tori - Dachshund/Terrier Mix - Female - 1 Yr - www.twyla.org
If you'd like to know more about this dog please visit our website at www.Twyla.org
Meet Tori. This adorable around 1 year old girl is a lover of all things squeaky toys and snuggles. She is full of energy and will run around the house amusing herself playing with toys, but as soon as she realizes someone is sitting down she makes a mad dash for lap time with her people. Tori lives in a foster home with 3 other dogs of similar size and she gets along well with them. She has also been around bigger dogs and did fine. As long as dogs would appreciate her energy and want to play, she seems to get along with them but might be ok being an only dog too as she loves attention. There are no children in Tori’s foster home but since she is so full of energy, she would probably do well in a home with kids to play with. Tori is very sweet and friendly and loves meeting new people. She is mostly house trained and crate trained but is still working on letting her people know when she needs to go out. She is very smart and loves food so she’s a fast learner when treats are involved.
Tori is still a little unsure of walking on a leash and riding in the car as she loves the security of home but in time and with practice she should be able to build confidence as she has exhibited a great ability to adapt to change.
Tori is looking for a moderately active home, with or without another playful dog, with or without kids, but with enough available time to devote to her for playtime, training and simply attention and affection.
***Please note: All dogs are fostered in private homes of volunteers, so to meet a dog please fill out an Adoption Application on our website (http://www.twyla.org/adopt/our-adoption-process) so we may setup a private meetup with the dog or coordinate for an Introduction at the next general Adoption Meet and Greet (as listed on our website: (http://www.twyla.org/upcoming-events), as not all dogs attend all Meet and Greets***
