My story

Roxie was one of 5 who entered our care after their owner surrendered them all to the shelter.

One of the dogs was a RR dog, so we took in all 5.

Roxie needs a person with patience and understanding where she can gain confidence and continue to rebuild her trust in humans.

Russell Rescue is an all-volunteer 501(c)(3) dog rescue organization. It was started in 2008 by Mary Ruth Rogers of Columbia, TN. Our mission is to save and re-home unloved, abandoned and abused dogs, especially the Jack Russell terrier. Most of our dogs come from high kill shelters in Tennessee, and other nearby states.
