Here's what the humans have to say about me:
Sassy is active and fun and sweet and loving. She was okay with other animals in her previous foster home as long as they respect her space and don't overwhelm her, but she would need a slow and gradual introduction. She isn't as agreeable with other cats (except her sister Dinah); there is a lot of hissing involved, but seems so very interested in dogs at the adoption center window. Loves to be pet and will jump in your lap for lovin. If household members, human and animal, are really active and loud, she may go into hiding until she knows you and things calm down. Sassy has grown fond of the young girl in her foster home and loves to play and sleep with her, and follow her around the house, so kids would be welcome to her, but again, they need to know if too loud she may run and hide at first. She would also enjoy being adopted with her sister Dinah who she is very comfortable spending her time with, but will be fine if adopted alone provided she receives lots of love and attention.

More about this rescue
We have created a non-profit animal shelter dedicated to eliminating cruelty, abuse and the overpopulation of animals. The Humane Society is committed to creating the awareness of animal rights throughout the Romeoville community by providing numerous animal welfare programs, including pet adoptions, humane education and cruelty investigations. ALL animals available for adoption are spayed or neutered, vaccinated, fecal tested, fiv/felv tested (cats only), heartworm tested (dogs only) and microchipped. It is the policy of the Romeoville Humane Society to spay or neuter all animals in its care in an effort to reduce the homeless pet population.
