My story

A true couch potato! Opie came to us from another shelter as they had deemed him aggressive! He was only very tired of being in a 6 x 4 kennel! So when the kennel was opened, he was just very happy and jumping all over. Now, with him being able to run in a fenced yard, he is a very calm animal. He loves being inside and sleeps well past anyone getting up! Loves to snuggle while binge watching! There is no cost to adopt any of our animals, however, we are a 501c3 non-profit and love donations! Our adoption contract require that if the animal does NOT work out in the new home that the adopted animal MUST be return to Collar to Halter. The animal may not be given away, sold or taken to another shelter. The first step in our adoption process is for a potential adopter to provide the name and phone number of their current vet.

More about this rescue

Our county does not have a shelter. We accept animals who have medical or behavioral needs that the current owners cannot afford or manage. Many animals will remain with us while others are rehabilitated and ready for adoption.
