My story

Sasha is an owner surrender. This family has no time for this happy, active dog. She loves to be with her people but they just feel it is too much. The children are not interested they are just too young to play fetch or walk her. SHE LOVES TO PLAY FETCH!! She loves to swim and she loves to go on walks. Sasha is a beautiful, friendly, active, water loving 8 year old purebred black lab! Sasha would love to have a family that will take her walking, hiking, swimming, spend time teaching her basic obedience - basically she wants to be spoiled! Sasha is good with kids and other dogs. We are not sure why but during the change of the seasons from Winter to Spring - Sasha has experienced a few minor seizures. These are slight seizures that cause disorientation. She was seen by vets and they do not recommend medication.

Why adoption is a great option

Sasha, a Bayport Labrador Retriever dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Labrador Retriever for sale in Bayport, or seeking a Labrador Retriever dog from a breeder in Bayport.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Bayport already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Bayport breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Labrador Retriever breeders who help with Labrador Retriever rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Bayport paves the way for another one to be saved.
