Looking for a purrfect match? Meet Mr. Darcy and Sadie! In September 2020, Mr. Darcy (DOB 11/30/2016) and Sadie (DOB 11/12/2019) came to Keller’s Klubhouse, but it wasn’t love at first sight for them. Curious and playful, Mr. Darcy quickly became the cool cat, that everyone – feline and human alike – gravitated towards. He befriended many a kitten, playing with, grooming, and watching over them like a big brother. Sadly, his heart broke each time his little charges were adopted, leaving him behind. Meanwhile, shy Sadie, with the pretty streak down her nose, attempted to make sense of her new surroundings. She sat, watched, and studied people and cats as they came and went. Definitely not a scaredy cat, she just needed a boost in confidence. Slowly, with encouragement from volunteers, Sadie shed the confines of the shadows and became a more active Klubhouse member. In mid-January, as fate would have it, Sadie caught Mr. Darcy’s eye, and he sensed that she just might need his chivalrous protection. She welcomed his companionship while he enjoyed her playfulness. As the weeks passed, the volunteers noticed Mr. Darcy and Sadie seeking one another out, wrestling with each other, and sunbathing together. By Valentine’s Day, no doubt existed – Theirs was the purrfect match! Not wishing to put asunder what love has joined together, our Klubhouse volunteers requested that Mr. Darcy and Sadie be listed as bonded so that they must be adopted as a pair. Mr. Darcy and Sadie will bring much love and laughter to their future family. Given Sadie’s shyness and Mr. Darcy’s tendency to roughhouse, a quieter household with children, 12 and older, is recommended. Won’t you please consider giving Mr. Darcy and Sadie the “happy-ever-after” home that they so deserve
