My story

This older polydactly, brown tabby kitten was born in March 2021. She plays by herself with toys, or wand toys if no other cats are around, and enjoys watching wildlife at the window. Querida greets you at the door, follows you around, and nervously tolerates being picked up for short time. She will stay in your lap for short sessions of brushing and petting, but would rather sit next to you. She is friendly with trusted people and shy around strangers. Querida would do best around calm kids over age eight. She is a bit on the independent side and affectionate on her terms. Querida gets along with most male cats and passive females. Like most cats, she is afraid of the vacuum monster. She uses a scratching post and has fine litterbox habits.

This cat and others are available at Cat Tales Rescue. Cats have been vet checked, spayed/neutered, wormed, tested for FIV/FeLV, have distemper and rabies shots. Adoption fees are $200+tax and for cats age 6+ the fee is $175+tax. Some special breeds are $250+tax. For further information or to start the adoption process, leave a message at 612-202-9492 or email cattalesmn@outlook.com

If you are gone 7 or more hours a day, please consider adopting two cats, as one cat usually gets bored. Two cats are easier to care for than one (they self-entertain while you are at work), and they are emotionally healthier (don’t get lonely and bored). Easier to do today than 1 -2 years later when you finally realize the need.

More about this rescue

We are a small group of volunteers who have been in cat rescue for over 30 years. Volunteers have full time jobs. We do not have a website. Rather we are on Adopt-a-pet, Facebook, Craigslist, PetFinder, and in community newspapers. Interested in more information about a cat? Please be patient, we will return your call. CTR is a 501 c3 non-profit.

We would welcome new volunteer foster homes. All medical costs for foster cats are covered by donations to CTR. As we get enough funding, we supply cat food. We do not hold adoption days.
