Meet Journey!

Journey is an approximately three year old, 15 lb girl whose priorities are snacks, cuddles, and naps (in that order). She is potty trained if kept on a general schedule, LOVES her crate, and is a perfect co-pilot in the car. It’s hard to tell what sort of dog she is— she’s got the chocolate color of a lab, the size of a terrier, and the ears of deer. Suffice it to say that she’s adorable!

Journey’s original owner passed away, and their granddaughter loved this sweet girl but couldn’t keep her. Because she’s gone through quite a lot of change recently, she’ll need a few days to open up and feel confident in a new home. Within no time, though, she’ll be leaning into you, begging for lap time, and trying to convince you that she deserves at least one bite of your sandwich. Journey has done very well with cats and dogs of all sizes, though I think she’d especially love a similarly-sized playmate. While she’d been around children and done perfectly well, she’s quite submissive, and I think living with small children might overwhelm her. She would make an excellent companion for a single person, couple, or a family with teens.
