Hi my name is Ryker I am between 1 and 2 years old but my foster mom thinks I am closer to 1 because I act like a puppy a lot. My foster mom calls me a big lovable goofball.
When I was younger I was in an accident and my right hip was knocked out of its socket and was not fixed. ASF got me surgery (FHO) to fix it and I’m learning to use it again. I can still run and play but not at full speed just yet.
I am looking for my forever home and I will need a few things.
1. I need lots of love and pets
2. Playmates so we can “wrestle” and play ball
3. Lots of squeaky balls and toys. Like tons of squeaky balls and toys!
4. Someone patient enough to continue to exercise my leg and continue my training
5. Lots of beds and couches to sleep on
6. Someone to snuggle with. This is very important I love to snuggle and nap next to someone!
7. Lots of treats! I will do or learn anything for a treat!
Theses are the things I’m good at:
1. Super smart at learning commands. 3-4 tries for most things except leave it.
2. I know sit, stay, no, and sometimes leave it unless it is the cat.
3. I love most dogs, I even let my tiny foster sister win most of our “wrestling sessions”
4. Cuddling
5. Chasing balls but, I don’t bring them back
6. Playing with big kids 8+
7. Carrying my bed and bowls wherever I want
8. I can finish a chew bone in a few days (foster mom says I need one at least once a week so I don’t chew up everything in the house)
9. Jumping and playing on the trampoline (but not at the same time as the kids I get too excited and might knock one off by accident)
10. Oh and I’m house trained and kennel trained.
11. I have to be where the action is all the time!
12. I have a really good sniffer and can sniff out my toys or food anywhere you hide them.
Things I need to work on:
1. I am cautious around human strangers and will bark at them (I will warm up to them If they have treats and pets)
2. I need to continue learning to walk better on a leash
3. I like cats a lot! (I won’t leave them alone)
4. I am scared of big hats, loud sounds and guns or anything that looks like a gun. (I hide under Foster Moms bed for hours)
5. I will steal other pups food if I can but, I don’t growl and bark over food.
