Meet Roxy, a sweet, playful, and loving spayed female Shepherd mix who weighs about 50 lbs. and is one to two years old. She is tricolor, well-behaved, and is crate trained and seemingly housetrained. Roxy enjoys taking walks and sunbathing and is learning to play fetch.

She enjoys being with other dogs and is great with small or large breeds. Roxy is good with children, too. She is learning some basic commands and is very eager to please and to give and receive love. Roxy is loyal, loving, and ready for her forever home.

Why adoption is a great option

Roxy, a Carlsbad Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog was adopted! Here's how you can benefit by looking at adoption as an option to buying a Shepherd (Unknown Type) for sale in Carlsbad, or seeking a Shepherd (Unknown Type) dog from a breeder in Carlsbad.

  1. Rescues and shelter volunteers in Carlsbad already know the personality and tendencies of their pets. This means they can match you with the right pet. That will makes it much easier transition to owning a pet for yourself and your new pet.
  2. On average adoption fees are much less than you'd pay a Carlsbad breeder, or pet store. Plus most often rescue pets have already been to the veterinarian for a check-up, had a round of vaccinations, and are spayed or neutered. That is a lot of savings!
  3. You will become a hero, and give a needy dog or cat a loving home. In fact, there are even Shepherd (Unknown Type) breeders who help with Shepherd (Unknown Type) rescue. One puppy or kitten adopted in Carlsbad paves the way for another one to be saved.
