My story

PLEASE NOTE: DO NOT CONTACT ARRF. This is a Courtesy Listing, and ARRF is not familiar with this dog. You will find Waffle at the County of San Diego Department of Animal Services 2481 Palomar Airport Road Carlsbad, CA 92011. You will need to call 619.767.2675 to make an appointment. Here is Waffle’s identification information you will need when you call the Shelter: ID#: A1889901; Tag#: N901; Kennel#: N006.

Who doesn’t like a sweet Waffle? The animal shelter in Carlsbad has one--and this Waffle is fat-free! Meet Waffle, aka Mr. Enthusiastic! This approximately 2-year-old, brown and black, 48-lb. adorable Siberian Husky mix with big soulful eyes loves doing anything and everything athletic, from running, walking, jogging, chasing furry toys or tennis balls. Waffle will gladly try any other sport that comes his way. He makes his favorite volunteers laugh when he does his "zoomies" in the big play yard. Once he has had time to burn off some energy, he is happy to collapse next to his human to give and get affection.

While at the shelter for the last several months, Waffle has shown the staff that he already knows some basic commands and because he is very treat-motivated and likes to please his human, he will love to continue his training and learn more. He walks best using a no-pull harness.

This boy tries to keep his kennel tidy by taking care of his personal business outside when possible. He is very friendly with people and does well around the other dogs at the shelter. Due to his energy level, he will do his best in a very active home.
