From the Lundgren family - 'This donation is to sponsor a Transport. We would like to name it 'Braveheart '. We chose this name for a few reasons, Joyful folks are brave and have big hearts. So do the adopters and all of your volunteers. Also 'Braveheart' contains letters from the names of most of our fur kids, past and present. Six of our sixteen pets have come from Joyful Rescues. We hope this transport brings joy to future adopters.'
Brownie was born around January 1 2021 and might top out around 15 pounds. Brownie came to us from a high kill region of KY. Brownie rides well in the car and gets along fine with other dogs. Brownie likely had an unfortunate past and he will nip if he feels frightened or cornered so no kids in his next home. Once Brownie knows he can trust you he is putty in your hands and an absolute cuddle bug! Brownie is a shedding rough coat terrier of some sort and maybe there is some Jack Russell and/or Yorkie in there - only a DNA test will tell for sure. As with most rough coat terriers he is peppy and active - will be lots of fun! Please understand that potty floor pads for these tiny dogs benefit both you and the dog. This is all we know so far and we will be learning as we go. The Adoption Fee for this dog is $300.00
Adoptions fees vary based on adoptability. In general our fees include spay/neuter, all age appropriate vaccines, Home Again micro-chipping & registration, worming & flea control - a 'complete' pet. We accept CASH or Visa/Mastercard ONLY.
Joyful Rescues has no funding except for our adoption fees and miscellaneous donations. Pet care and vet bills are expensive - you must be ready to take on this financial (as well as emotional) responsibility.
YOU MUST BE AT LEAST 25 YEARS OF AGE TO ADOPT A DOG FROM JOYFUL RESCUES
We keep our pet list as up-to-date as possible. As soon as a pet is adopted, it is removed from the list. If a pet is still showing, it is still available for adoption.
