My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Otto, Male, Great Pyrenees X, 2 years old, 117lbs.

Big handsome Otto has just celebrated his second birthday. The best present he could wish for is a peaceful loving forever home. After living in an apartment, a fenced space to run and play is high on Otto’s wish list too.

Otto is affectionate in a gentle and, at times, persistent way. He’s an expert at giving the Pyr Paw when he wants attention but is happy to self pet on the furniture if none is forthcoming.

Otto is a well mannered young guy but does have a willful streak. Pyrenees quips like ‘I came when I wanted to.’ and ‘I heard you but don’t care.’ can be seen in Otto at times. Experienced Pyr people are chuckling right now but also know the importance of navigating this behaviour properly. Ongoing training would be a great way to build a strong bond, improve Otto’s recall, and perfect his leash skills.

As wonderful as Otto is, he can be a sneaky thief on occasion and will resource guard these coveted treasures. Because of this, Otto is best suited to and an adult only home with breed experienced people. He has no guarding issues with his food, treats or toys.

Like many Pandemic Pups, Otto has been under socialized. He is now making up for lost time meeting new dogs. Otto has been consistently friendly, gentle and respectful with them. Although, he can get a little humpy with favourite playmates.

Recently, Otto spent time in a home with cats and did very well.

Otto has also been meeting new people. He is friendly and respectful in his mild mannered way to everyone he’s met.

Otto is a truly stellar companion who just needs Pyrenees or other LGD experienced people and room to be young in his perfect forever home.

The adoption fee for Otto is $500.00. He has been neutered, microchipped, and his vaccinations are up to date.
