Vida arrived to the shelter almost a year ago, a scared kitten, she wouldn't eat, she just couldn't out of fear. She had to be hand fed, and very slowly. It took her a while to begin to trust anyone at the shelter, it just broke our hearts! To be so scared to eat, to use a litter box, we have no idea what she endured prior to coming to the shelter. Luckily for her, she went into a foster home, while it took months of work and dedication, she would slowly eat...on her own. But she still preferred the comfort of someone standing near by, so she wasn't alone. As of last year she was thriving, her foster parents mentioned when she does get excited she will urinate a little, like she can't control her happiness; while the average person might be turned off, we know that is a far cry from how she was. We are so blessed for how far she has come, and know more milestones are around the corner for our beloved girl. She also co-exists with another cat in the home. Vida would do best in a calm home, with low traffic, and respectful teens.
