My story

Need his forever family ASAP! Foster parent has life changes. Please contact us to submit an application directly at or Requires home with another small dog, children over ages 6  yrs old and secure fence! Ninja aka Quincy is a male 5 mos 25  lb  Retriever mix  (parents unknown).   He will be probably medium to large adult.  Ninja had a rough start which made him shy of humans but he’s learning to overcome the challenges and obstacles related to that. He’s developed a wild and playful side. Quickly adapts to routines. Has surprise “attacks” of cuddles for humans. Intense but short lived episodes of wanting all of the love, scratches, and embraces and then returns to his wild ways. May or may not grow out of intense chewing. Loves other dogs but won’t be pushed around no matter the size. Loves being outside while maintaining appreciation for central air. Never met a treat he didn’t like. Knows sit and lay down. He loves doggie blankets, toys, dog beds and playing with foster dogs. He will be a great companion for an active family with a securely fenced yard,  polite/ calm older children  and another dog. Mixed breed experience is recommended. He is an indoor dog.  He will like walks, dog training classes once has all his shots.  No apartments!    No children under 12 years of age.

L & S Dog Diggity Rescue is headquartered in San Antonio, Texas, where there are over 350,000 homeless pets. We save homeless and abandoned dogs and find them loving forever homes in other areas, where pet homelessness is not epidemic. All of our pets are located here, in San Antonio, and we partner with  rescues to provide transportation for our pets to their new homes. Our adoption fee includes vet care (vaccinations, spay/neuter, microchipping, etc), as well as transportation and health certificate. Please contact us to ask about our adoption process and our adoption fees.
