My story

Sasha has a wealth of training in her hip pocket; and as a result, we know a thing or two about this girl and what might be her best placement. Despite lots of work, Sasha is not leaving her difficult background behind.

The original household acquired Sasha from a breeder in Mississippi. Originally intending to get one puppy, the family was talked into taking not only Sasha but also the remaining male sibling. They had no idea what they were getting in to, and by the time Illinois Humane was brought into the picture the household had a near disaster on their hands. Proper training was not undertaken, and it is suspected many improper methods were used with the dogs.

Sasha can be a very loyal, good companion. She has some considerations for her to be successful in a home. She needs a home where she will be the only dog. It is best if the household consists of only one or two people. It would be best if it is a household without a lot of other people coming in and out, or a means to put Miss Sasha up, so to speak, when others will be visiting. No kids. No small animals.

We advise a series of meetings for the meet and greet, so the potential home can meet her over time, and visit with her trainer. She will make a great dog for someone who understands the breed, and can accommodate her limitations.
