It is a long read and a long adoption process. Please understand we are ensuring that our babies go to great homes and we don't know you personally (yet). Understand that this is an adoption of a beautiful little soul that deserves the absolute best life.
THUNDER was turned into the shelter. He was turned in as a stray but his mannerisms were not of a street cat. He is hungry for affection, but everything scares him.
THUNDER loves other cats. He is incredibly social and enjoys a good cat cuddle/grooming session with his feline friends. He loves his hammock and enjoys looking out the window. He runs up and down his cat tree and can play for hours by himself or with another kitty friend.
He is incredibly food motivated and will lick his lips while waiting for his canned food. He is a very sweet, loving young male. He will melt your heart with his cute little face, fluffy tail and shiny black coat. He is experiencing the world in a new way, with love and kindness. But he is still skittish and learning to trust. He is looking for someone with a little patience and a lot of love to give.
Actually him and SAFFRON have become very good friends and we're so hoping that these two boys that have had a really crappy life can go home and be happy together! But, we understand that not everyone will do that. So, as long as he has a cat friend...he should be ok.
THUNDER is DOMESTIC LONG HAIR / MAINE COON MIX. He is over 21 months old and is good with cats. He has been fostered in a home with a young child, dog and a cat.

MAY 2023: VOLUNTEERS are the only ones allowed to let you meet the kitty. Not PETSMART employees.
Volunteers are usually at PetSmart between 9 am to 1 pm for cleaning. The cats currently at PETSMART you are allowed to go visit. A good time to come visit is at 4 pm - 9 pm. They are only there in the evening for 3 hours so please call the PetSmart location or visit the cattery for VISITING HOURS. Most days are different 3 hour shifts. It's based on volunteer availability.
The kitties at a foster/rescue homes, we will accommodate as much as possible. But steps 1-6 of the ADOPTION PROCESS need to be done before we do OFFICIAL MEET & GREETS. It is easier to do the meet and greets at the locations listed below.

in Hemet, California off Florida Avenue
in Palm Desert, California off Monterey Avenue
The crazy rescue mama will drive kitties to their new home, meet & greets, etc...once the adoption interview and home check have been done.. Gas donations always appreciated!

If the CAT/KITTEN is still listed (meaning here or other websites) they are still available. It does not mean they don't have other pending applications or meet and greets.
Please note: Just because you fill out an application and are approved does not obligate you to adopt the cat/kitten. If he or she is not a fit...we have plenty of other cats / kittens available for adoption.
We are a SMALL rescue based out of Hemet, California. We are all volunteers that run the rescue. If we haven't reached out....be patient.

FELV/FIV test (Negative/Negative)
Drontal Dewormer
Stronghold Flea Control

We are NOT a government FUNDED shelter and all our donations and adoption fees are for our rescued cats/kittens. So, we do not do DISCOUNTS.
If for some unfortunate reason you missed out on the kitten/cat you emailed about...I'm sure that we could help you with another rescue baby! Just ask!
