My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

In the heart of the shelter, Nash stands out like a beacon of joy, his infectious playfulness and gentle spirit capturing the attention and hearts of everyone around.

What truly sets Nash apart is his remarkable ability to balance his exuberance with a gentle nature, especially when it comes to treats. Hand him a treat, and you`ll witness a masterclass in delicacy. Nash takes treats with a soft touch, a reflection of not just his good manners but the genuine sweetness that resides in his heart.

Beyond his playful exterior, Nash is a canine companion who craves connection. His expressive eyes tell a story of longing for a forever home where his playful spirit and gentle soul can be cherished every day. In the shelter, Nash has become a favorite playmate among both humans and fellow furry friends, leaving a trail of joy in his wake.

As Nash celebrates another year of life, we extend an invitation to those seeking a loyal friend.

Additional adoption info

If you are interested in adopting one of our dogs....great!! The first step is coming in and meeting the dog in person. If you have any small children or other dogs in the household we do recommend that you bring them in for an introduction. If you are interested we would have you complete an adoption application. We do not require fenced in yards. All dogs are spayed/neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested and fully vaccinated, and the adoption fee is $125 which also includes a current dog license for Lucas County. We do adopt out of state and to other counties, but the dog would need to leave our facility with a current license. We do hold adoption events and have reduced adoption fees for specials throughout the year. Please check out our FaceBook page for events.
