My story

Buddy is a young 4 to 5 month old, handsome male Plott Hound / Pit mix with jungle brindle coloring.  He was a stray and is being fully vetted.  Buddy is house trained, good natured. and full of energy.  He loves to chase balls, play with stuffed animal toys, will sit and shake hands.  He would be a great family dog.  Buddy doesn't run away on walks, i.e., a leash isn't necessary and is friendly with other dogs, wanting to play.  Please call his foster Bonnie for more info at 941-626-1537 or Ron at 985-630-1613.

Their adoption process

Additional adoption info

Our adoption application and contract can be found at http://www.lostdogsrun.com/forms.htm. We ask for a $150 donation at the time of adoption. Before adoption, a home visit and references are checked and a one week trial period has successfully passed. Homes are required to have a fenced yard and the animal must be allowed inside at night. Animals are not allowed to be tied up outside for more than several hours or crated for long periods, except for sleeping at night in the house.

Go meet their pets

Contact Ron Stoessell at ronstoessell@gmail.com to come and meet animals in Southwest North Carolina in Lost Dogs Run that are available for adoption. He will notify the fosters and set up a time for meeting them.

More about this rescue

Our Board has previously volunteered and served on the Boards of St. Francis Animal Sanctuary, The Delta Humane Society of Louisiana, Logan's Run Rescue and volunteered at the Valley River Humane Society Thrift Store and Shelter. Our years of rescue experience have shown us that rescue animals are best served by keeping them out of Shelters. We rely on volunteers to foster them while we vet them and find homes for them. Fostered animals are house trained and socialized before adoption. We actively promote fostering of rescue animals by members of the local community.
