My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Meet Layla!
Layla came to WHRS from a local shelter, where she had been surrendered along with her 7 babies. The babies are doing well at the shelter, growing up and finding new homes; now it is time for mom to find a forever home of her own!

Layla was transferred to Wisconsin House Rabbit Society because she was not doing well at the shelter. She was defensive and reactive to anyone reaching into her cage. In foster care, with some additional space and socializing, we have found that she is still a bit protective of her area, but very, very loving and excited to be around people. One minute she is zooming around, the next minute she is napping in her hay manger. She is great with her litter box and will snuggle into your neck if you pick her up. It is so fulfilling to see a rabbit learning how to trust her caretakers.

Layla would love to move into her forever home, where she can jump and leap and zoom around. Do you have space in your heart and your home for this sweet girl?

Layla has completed her RHDV2 vaccinations.

If you adopt Layla, you will receive a free copy of the House Rabbit Handbook: How To Live With An Urban Rabbit and a 1yr membership to the Wisconsin House Rabbit Society.
