My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

I am Ridiculously Affectionate with my foster and her friends.....you read that correctly...and I am a Torti!

I am EXTREMELY Friendly and I will demand Attention from YOU, my humans. Where you are - I am.

I will approach you and jump up to get your attention - pets and massages the BEST!

I am a Communicator and Talker...I will respond to you when you talk to me...I will not ignore you. We will have the most interesting of chats. One of my favorites is which flavor of wet food I like the best.

I have been exposed to a 60-pound gentle, cat-friendly dog with my Foster after she rescued me. This is my only reference for a dog. We got along as best friends. If your dog is different, I cannot guarantee we will get along...but... maybe if we use the correct protocol for cat to dog introductions lasting over 4 -5 weeks (or longer)...then I will try for you.

Because of my feeding past (read below 'My Background') I have developed a behavior of protecting my food. I had to defend my food and fight off the feral Toms to get my food. Torti's Rule!

Yes, I have a feisty side when it comes to food...so best to be in a home without other cats. I cannot guarantee what would happen if other cats are nearby .... unless you are an Experienced cat person with dealing with cat behavior? Be prepared....

Prefer a quiet and peaceful home. Not too fond of loud fast movements from little children. Older children preferred or none at all.

I enjoy my time in the cat tree near a window so I can chirp at the birds and squirrels and watch the leaves move with the wind.

My DOB is: TBA

Before my name was Miss Torty....now it is just Torti.

I am already microchipped. Just change all the data to yours.

My Background:

28 Oct 2023:
My Mum, an elderly woman, had to surrender me because of her failing health - she actually was admitted to an extended care facility. I could not go in with her. I was her therapy cat and life line for two wonderful years. We were best mates. Where was I before My Mum adopted? Continue reading below.

April 2021:
An elderly woman was feeding me - she believed my family moved leaving me behind. I had to fight for my food as she was feeding older feral cats too. So all I have known is this type of behavior when it comes to food. A foster stepped up and rescued me from this feral colony and reminded me of the ways of life as an indoor feline. I am ready for my adoption - I want my own warm and loving home. I was adopted in April 2021 to My new Mum above.
