Here's what the humans have to say about me:
**PLEASE READ MICHI'S BIO THOROUGHLY BEFORE INQUIRING**
Meet Michi, our beautiful MinPin girl who is about 5 years old and around 11lbs. Michi came to us when a kind mailperson noticed that she was left outside in the front yard 24/7 with her puppies (who have been adopted), never being allowed to come inside at all. Even if the weather was bad, they had to stay outside and since there was no fencing in the front yard, they were able to roam the streets of a very bad area. We were able to get the owner to relinquish all the dogs and now Michi is looking for her forever home. We need a very specific home for this little lady. Michi is a dog that cannot be taken out on walks or out and about. She is a BIG flight risk with leaving the home. She cannot walk on leash as she will completely freak out and thrash and can most likely get away and run off. She is fast! Luckily, she LOVES being in the house safe and cozy. She enjoys being a companion dog who will sit with you on the couch, snuggles under a blanket and in your bed when it's time to sleep. She does not and cannot be taken on walks or on errands. We need a home for her that is ok with this and cannot place her in a home that will try to walk her. She would love a little yard that she can walk around in and sunbathe, which she loves to do. Michi can be an "only" dog with owners that are home almost all day or she could possible go into a home with another sweet/quiet dog. She is a good eater, but because she was fed complete junk by her ex owner, we need to adopt her to someone who will feed her a high grade kibble (that we recommend) along with incorporating some home cooking and wet food. She does need salmon oil added to her along with medicated baths because of the way she was fed and because of her environment, it left her skin dry, but is so much better than before. She gets the hang of potty training very easily with access to a yard. She does need her nails trimmed often and unfortunately she puts up a fight, so it does need to be done by a vet. When Michi came to us she was so scared of every day noises in the home that we are all so used to such as clanking of dishes hitting each other, the dryer going on, the vacuum, etc. We had to remember that she was never let inside a home and was not used to these noises. She is getting better, but can still be spooked easily. This is why we are looking for a quiet and non chaotic home for her that is easy going and with owners who like to stay home. That is the best and safest scenario for her. Michi is such a loving little dog who just want to be by your side and give you kisses. We know her perfect home is out there somewhere!
**Please note that Michi is in Torrance and we will be requiring 2-3 meet/greets to ensure she feels safe and comfortable before going the next step of our adoption procedure.**
Michi is spayed, vaccinated, and microchipped.
We only adopt in Los Angeles and surrounding areas as an in person meet/greet, home check, and trial period are required.
