My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

David Moewie is looking to adopt his Cat People!

The late, great David Bowie once sang, `Sometimes we get second chances and sometimes we never make it past the first.` If our David (Meowie) could sing, he would tell you that he is definitely worth a second chance, and he`s ready for the spotlight!

ABOUT DAVID
- In foster
- Found in poor condition as a stray, David has flourished in the love, warmth, and comfort of a caring home thanks to his foster parents!
- He enjoys toys like cat dancers, crinkle balls, ribbon wands, and laser pointers.
- David is a food enthusiast! He loves checking out the kitchen and `singing` for meals.
- David will wake early to remind everyone when it’s time for breakfast. He prefers his breakfast while in his bed and appreciates when he is served his food there.
- David is a bit reserved and prefers his independence. However, once he’s warmed up to someone new, he enjoys being pampered with long brush sessions and forehead scritches to look and feel his best!
- David is a creature of habit. He likes sunbathing in the morning, napping in the afternoon, and playing in the evening.
- David has FIV, which is a virus that weakens the immune system of a cat but is not transmissible to humans or other species.
- David’s got a big, beautiful heart that requires a bit of extra care because of a murmur. He may require yearly cardiac tests in addition to physical exams to ensure all is well.
- David also lives with stage 2 kidney disease, which is easily managed with a special diet. - He is also on a low-calorie diet and takes some medications with supplements to help with his GI health.
- David is neutered, microchipped, dewormed, flea-treated, SNAP-tested for FIV/FeLV, and has received core vaccinations.

DAVID’S IDEAL HOME
- David would prefer a home where he can be centre stage, ideally without children and other animals.
- It is recommended that he go for veterinary check-ups twice a year.
- Cats who have FIV can live just as long as other cats if they are properly cared for with a good diet, an indoor home, and a loving family.

If your home is the right fit for a star like David, please consider giving this boy his second chance by completing an adoption application today.
