My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

From TINSLEY's previous family.

"We took TINSLEY in for a little over a month and she was an incredible dog. Extremely smart, loving and friendly. She was great with everyone including our other, much smaller dog, cat and 4 year old son. Our issue was that our dog and cat were not very welcoming to her, to no fault of her own. Our dog doesn't like to play very much and TINSLEY loves to play so our dog would get a little grumpy and cause an altercation. Our cat, who grew up with dogs, just didn't like TINSLEY for some reason. Cat would growl, hiss and swat at her even if TINSLEY was just standing there paying no attention to her.

Some advice for her future owners. If you have other pets, TINSLEY will be great with them. Just make sure your dog is willing to play because TINSLEY will want to play. She is fine with cats as well. She may show some interest and want to get close enough to sniff (or even lick) the cat but she never chased our cat or showed any aggression toward her. If you have kids, she is going to be great with them as well and she ’ll be a great dog to grow up with. Just remember, she is playful. She was a little overwhelming for our 4 year old at times but never aggressive. She just gets a little excited from time to time but she will grow out of that. She does tend to bark at people who come in the house but she never showed any aggression and the barking only lasted for a few minutes and then she was as sweet as can be. She will most likely grow out of that with experience as well. Ultimately, she is extremely smart and extremely trainable."

TINSLEY would do best with a dog buddy of similar size and energy level. A fenced yard with room to run/play will provide a healthy outlet for her puppy energy. Children should be 8 years or above.
Being working dogs, German Shepherds do best in a home that provides structure, with mental & physical enrichment.
