My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Our beautiful 6-year-old Hound mix, Bunny, has been at the shelter since June 2022. She has gained confidence while here at the shelter, and we know she is ready to take on a forever family! Bunny is super sweet and playful. She absolutely loves running around in the backyard and interacting with volunteers and staff! She adores attention and will never turn down a pet. Bunny would do best in a home with no other pets or children. Although, if you have a large dog in the home and are interested we can always set up a meet and greet to see how it goes! Bunny is so loving and always wanting affection from her people. Come see this sweet lady today!

More about this shelter

The mission of the Humane Society of Southwest Missouri is to aid in the alleviation of distress and suffering of animals by operating a shelter in need of care, placing animals in suitable homes, and offering educational programs that promote animal welfare.

We receive our animals from people giving up their pets for a variety of reasons, including changes in family situations and moving. Some of our animals have been strays rescued from the streets by a kind citizen, but all of our animals are looking for permanent, loving forever homes.
