Handsome and a gentleman, that`s me, Jameson! You will notice right away when meeting me that I have a great zest for life and having fun is my top priority. I play a fun game of fetch and can entertain myself (and you!) with my toys. I am 2 yrs. old, so I`m an energetic young man who is looking for a human counterpart who likes the active life like I do. We can go on lots of runs or walks together! In all honesty, once I`ve had some fun, I could sit outside with you and enjoy being snuggled and petted for the rest of the day! I also like other dogs, especially those who are closer to my size and who enjoy rowdy fun in the yard. And better yet, I`ve been learning some commands and basic obedience here at Tails! And totally better....I am a `Forget-Me-Not` dog, meaning my Adoption Fee is reduced, and someone has sponsored part of my adoption fee!!! Can`t wait to meet you! Hope you`ll stop by soon!

We believe that bringing a new pet into your home is an important decision so you’ll have plenty of time to make your decision without feeling rushed. Staff and volunteers will be available throughout this time to answer any questions you may have. Once you’ve made your choice, an adoption counselor will review the adoption contract with you.

TAILS Humane Society is a limited admission animal shelter providing a safe haven for almost 2,400 animals each year. We are committed to providing each animal the time and medical care they need to have their best chance at adoption.
TAILS was established in 1999 by a group of local animal advocates dedicated to bringing a comprehensive animal shelter to DeKalb. We operated out of an old farmhouse until 2005 when we cut the ribbon on our Barber Greene facility. In 2009, we opened our low cost Spay/Neuter Clinic providing quality, affordable sterilization services to the public. We continue to grow and strengthen our programs and service as we continue to save lives.
