My story

Harry was born around January, 2021. This sweet orange and white boy was trapped while START was working on a TNR project behind a local storefront. Something about his demeanor made us think he was calm and may be a candidate for adoption. During our travels, Harry’s trap broke and he took off! Of course he was several towns away from where he began his journey. We started to put food out for him and sure enough one week later, Harry found himself in our trap once again. Our hunch was right about him as this fellow really deserved to be rescued! His biggest challenge was adapting to the other foster cats who aren’t always so welcoming! He has become quite the mush and he loves nothing more than to revel in your attention. Harry will need some time in any new environment but he will come to trust a patient hand. Please consider giving him the love and support he is seeking.

Harry is vaccinated, altered, FeLV/FIV tested negative and microchipped. If you are interested in adopting this pet, you can start the process and access our pre-adoption application which is located on our website at www.startpets.net, click on Pets for Adoptions then application; complete the form, and submit/send. We can also be reached at 973-785-1245 or email us at info@startpets.net. All Pets are adopted within a 50 mile radius of Little Falls, NJ. Please remember out of state adoptions require additional time for approval; you must be 21 years or older to adopt; an application does not guarantee an adoption; not all animals on our website come to all adoption days.

More about this rescue

Save The Animals Rescue Team, (S.T.A.R.T.) is a non-profit humane organization, founded by Annette Lamberti, that rescues stray, abandoned, injured, and abused kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs. The animals rescued are examined by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and placed in one of our volunteer foster homes. Since S.T.A.R.T. does not have a shelter facility, these animals remain in our foster care until they are adopted. So many of these unfortunate animals are victims of pet overpopulation, therefore, this life-saving work is critical!! It is our mission to prevent cruelty, promote spay/neuter, and to encourage awareness through education, while also teaching respect for all animals and the environment they live in. S.T.A.R.T. is a 501 (c)(3) private non-profit organization relying on and supported by tax-deductible donations, grants and group fund raising.
