START is always eager to help our prior adopters and that is how Lyric came in to our care. Lyric’s care giver was entering an assisted living facility and needed to surrender this beautiful calico. Born in early 2019, Lyric has a coat of white with calico markings on her head and tail. She took almost no time to adjust to her new foster environment. She is an extremely friendly cat who loves to rub against your legs and doesn’t mind being picked up. She would make a perfect addition to any family.
Lyric is vaccinated, altered, FeLV/FIV tested negative and microchipped. Save The Animals Rescue Team, (S.T.A.R.T.) is a non-profit humane organization, founded by Annette Lamberti, that rescues stray, abandoned, injured, and abused kittens, puppies, cats, and dogs. The animals rescued are examined by a veterinarian, spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and placed in one of our volunteer foster homes. Since S.T.A.R.T. does not have a shelter facility, these animals remain in our foster care until they are adopted. So many of these unfortunate animals are victims of pet overpopulation, therefore, this life-saving work is critical!!
It is our mission to prevent cruelty, promote spay/neuter, and to encourage awareness through education, while also teaching respect for all animals and the environment they live in. S.T.A.R.T. is a 501 (c)(3) private non-profit organization relying on and supported by tax-deductible donations, grants and group fund raising.
