My story

Ross is a handsome tabby and white boy with emerald green eyes. He is fully vetted and just as sweet as can be. He lived on the streets in a rural community, was trapped, and sent to the pound. Ross was under socialized and very fearful of people. It took months for him to realize that not all humans are bad and he started to interact slowly to his caregivers. He progressed at his own pace, but when he was ready for human attention there was no going back. He is a very sweet boy, loves pets, sunny windows, and wet food. Typically, Ross will greet you in a comfy cat bed with a belly ready to be rubbed, he is all about the belly rubs. Ross gets along well with other cats. He has not been around dogs, but with proper introduction he should do just fine. Ross it the total package, handsome, sweet, respectful, and gentle. Ross could be an only cat but with his playful nature he would do best with another pet companion. He has asthma and requires an inhaler. If you have any questions or would like to meet this pet, please email contact@stlpetrescue.com. More about this rescue

St. Louis Pet Rescue is a non-profit rescue group focusing on saving pets from local animal control facilities and other neglect situations.

We do not have a facility. All of the pets we rescue are in loving foster homes. Foster homes provide love, care training, and, if needed, rehabilitation to the pets. This also allows the pet to be more adjusted when they enter their forever home since they are used to a home environment (versus a kennel at the pound).
