My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Hi there. Are you looking for me? Because I am indeed looking for you!
Are you looking for a great co-pilot? For a companion to chill on the sofa? For some help to clean the kitchen floor if needed? And for someone to go on daily adventures with?
Here I am! My name is Pepper and I am ready to meet you!
My humans told me to tell you a little bit about me, so here it goes:
My mom (she is a medium sized, short coated mix who maybe has some Husky in her) and my dad (unfortunately, I have never met him) got to meet each other on the streets.
Mom’s belly started to grow and a nice man took her in – he then contacted some other humans after we (my brothers and I) were born, and we moved.
When we were a little bigger, the food dispensers on two legs (they call themselves humans) took us out and introduced us to the big wide world day in day out. They also played fun games with us – It is where you give me clues and I do all kinds of cute behaviours and then you give me yummy treats. I hope that you know how to play this, because I really love to do it!
We also played a lot with dogs of all sizes and ages, and I liked them all – I am very easy going and love to cuddle up with my fur-buddies (or with my human-buddies) to have a nap too. I also lived with a cat in my first foster home, and we got along just fine with each other – even though he decided that he doesn’t want to play with me.
I have recently discovered toys and love to tear the fluffy insides out of my stuffed them and to play fetch and tug with you. I am super talented and if you aren’t around to play with me, I can entertain myself with my toys and have become very adept at tossing my them to myself! (And like most puppies, I am pretty good at inventing games with things like shoes and throw pillows, so you are going to need to be a little neater unless you want me to use my interior decorating skills in your place!)
I don’t like being in a crate very much, but you can certainly leave me in a puppy-proofed area (the humans call it puppy-pen) without a problem.
My foster mom is really good about taking me out to potty frequently, and I am developing good habits and well on my way to being house trained, but I will need support with this when I am in a new place.
I like to keep in shape with daily walks, and I can keep up with the big dogs! I am very good about staying near you, so you don’t ever have to worry about getting lost again; I will be sure to keep a close eye on you! Even if you are off leash I won’t let you stray far from me.
I am loyal and devoted and will give my heart to you forever.

I have had all my vaccines and am up to date on flea control and worming. I am not yet neutered (my humans say they would like to wait until I am older because it looks like I am going to grow into a pretty big dog (but they are not sure, my final size is a surprise), and they say it is better for me to be neutered later on).***

Would you like to meet me? If so, please fill out this application and one of my nice human friends will get back to you!

****Neutering is required, and adoptions are not finalized until the dog is neutered. We will make arrangements with the successful applicant to follow up on this.
