My story

Here's what the humans have to say about me:

Bruno is a handsome 1 year old neutered male Australian Shepherd. We are looking for a quiet home with a physical fenced yard and humans experienced with the breed. Bruno favors female humans. Bruno is shy of men but warms up with proper introductions and patience. Keep this in mind if you are a single female considering a male entering your life in the future. We want Bruno to be a lifetime commitment.

Bruno is house and crate trained. The ideal family would be willing to spend lots of time with Bruno as a companion. He would love to complete basic training classes to bond with his human. He is smart, active, athletic and also very sweet and cuddly. He looks to his confident human for instruction and security so he would not be a dog for a first time dog owner. He likes dogs so another confident dog in the home would work. No cats due to his "herding" instincts. He is not mean to cats but the impulse to herd them is in his nature and could be stressful on cats and small children.

We are looking for adopters who WANT to GIVE a dog a home. Bruno needs patience, training, compassion and a commitment. Bruno has been let down by humans. (Lack of training, lack of socialization, lack of health care, lack of commitment.) When dogs have been let down over and over it only contributes to their anxiety. Someone who can make this sweet boy their number one priority is key. Bruno's adoption fee is $400 which includes his neuter, vaccinations including Rabies, dewormed, Heartworm tested Negative and current on Heartworm/flea/tick prevention.
